Job Title:Brand Strategist (Engagement Strategist)

Overview:  

The brand strategist is responsible for using data and insights to drive effective behavior-changing communications solutions clients in partnership with the VP, Strategy.  He/she/they will take responsibility for understanding the needs and behaviors of patients and leading the development of forward thinking and creative solutions across multiple channels. 

 

The brand strategist has an important role in the strategy department, able to partner effectively with their manager, the team, creative, account as well as able to independently lead assignments to inform strategies created across digital, social, and multi-channel engagement. 

 

Reports to VP, Strategist 

What you'll do: 

 

Thought leadership

  • Ensure you are current on marketing best practices; emerging trends, channels, technologies, platforms, and partners; and innovative programs and approaches—both within and outside of healthcare 
  • Ability to concept and run workshop on marketing ideation such as: patient journey, brand mapping, brand personality, positioning, creative sprint sessions 

 

Planning and research 

  • Lead research efforts with our data tools, and your own online research in pursuit of actionable insights around key brand challenges, brand opportunities, patient beliefs, behaviors, and needs 
  • Translate research into insights that support client needs and an optimized mix of channels, tactics, content, and messaging 

 

Growth 

  • Work with your account and creative teams to proactively identify opportunities for growth, bring new innovative thinking to clients
  • Play an active leadership role in our business development process, supporting proposal development and new business pitches 

 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years in media or advertising  
  • Healthcare and/or pharmaceutical marketing a plus 
  • Comfort with being the day-to-day strategic lead internally and with clients 
  • Good knowledge of online and offline research techniques and Boolean logic 
  • Ability to communicate your ideas with passion to clients, and internal staff members 
  • Confident at creating polished and presentation ready PPT or Keynote slides 
  • In person client travel is required
